1997-07-26 - Sheffield ((UK/England) - Sphere

White glowing sphere up very close, with missing time, Bradfield, UK July 97'

In July 1997 in Bradfield, England, UK my ex-boyfriend and I were out camping for the night and he was night fishing in the dam flask overflow river, the Nag's Head Pub was above us a field away on the hill. Our torch batteries had died, so I was flashing his lighter so he could see to re-hook his line, he had his back to the field and I was facing the field. A spherical UFO shot passed from right to left several feet away close to the ground about tree level, he didn't see it at first. This was approximately 1am.

I was in shock and wandered off down the pathway alone, I remember seeing a light, then I remember walking back up the path. My ex-boyfriend asked me where I had been and that I was gone for at least an hour or two, we checked the time and I was missing over 2 hours that I couldn't account for, I explained that that was impossible I'd just walked down the path and back. At around 3am I was trying to explain to him what I had seen when it came back f! rom the left side and hovered for sometime above the pup on the hill, we watched it together in disbelief as it pulsated through the colours of the rainbow with a glowing white center, virtually silent except for a deep vibrational hum or buzzing sound that could be felt more than heard, like static, similar to electricity pylons.

After watching it for a while it suddenly shot forward a few feet away and then off to the left again at an impossibly high speed 90 degree angled maneuver. The other thing we noticed that night was a meteor shower of approximately 11 that we counted. I was 23 years old at the time and had no idea of how to report things like this, I'm now 44 and still remember it like it was yesterday. I still keep in touch with the other witness and we often talk about that night.
