Bright light illuminates area and then turns and moves away without any sound
Fishing at night, the air was calm and I could hear the crickets on the shore. Suddenly, I was blinded by a bright light from directly overhead. My first impression was that an airplane was coming directly down at me with it's landing light on . I thought it would crach into the lake at any second. I looked around me and could see that the immediate area around my boat was illuminated by a white, bluish light. I could tell that the object overhead was turning as I could see the light on the water moving away from my boat. I looked back into the sky and could tell that the object was rotating and was not coming at me any more. I thought the "plane" was now safe and would not crash, but the "plane" continued to move directly away from me into the atmosphere and did not fly sideways (parallel to the horizon) as I had expected it to. The object finally disappeared into the night sky. I thought how quiet it was and that I did not hear any noise from the object, but I could still hear the crickets on the shore. The light was steady and did not blink and the object made no sound. Being blinded by the light at first, I could not really tell how high the object was, but it was fairly close and the light was very intense.
