Round object flashing all colors giving a hypnotic state.
Sometime in the mid 90's (not sure which year, month, or time) I was a teenager and stepped outside one night and saw this craft out west. It started somewhere over Westminster and continuously moved about a cars pace east in the sky over the city of Federal Heights, towards Thornton where I was. It was switching through all colors and became very close to see its shape and size and stopped to hover in one spot for awhile almost above myself in Thornton. I felt stuck in a hypnotic state watching it for quite some time until it left except I believe I did break free for a moment to go back inside for more witnesses only to be ridiculed about it briefly then returning to watch and feel stuck again. Suddenly it took off ascending and northward and was gone in an instant. That experience has kept me watching the sky ever since and so have seen maybe 40 others, just not that close.
