The caller was returning home with her two sons (ages 8 and 14 yrs.) from a neighboring town , which is about 8 miles away from Owensville. Suddenly, she became aware of a bright light in the night sky, which was totally cloudless.
At first, she thought it was a set of headlights. However, both her house, and the house of her neighbors, were illuminated, as if by a "bright headlight from nowhere."
Suddenly, the object streaked out of sight, leaving a green trail in the sky, and going in the direction of Jefferson City, to the northwest.
She said that her two sons had drawn the "circle of light."
She lives in a rural area.
