An olive green object shaped like the vertical tail fin of an aircraft passed over I-44 just a few feet above the ground
I was driving west on I-44 just east of the Conway rest area when I saw what looked like the vertical tail fin of an olive drab colored military aircraft traveling from my right to left just above the horizon. It appeared to be just west of the rest area and just above the highway.
I expected to see a fireball on the south side of the roadway a second or two after I saw the object, but this did not happen. I looked at the occupants of several eastbound vehicles knowing they had to have seen the plane pass in front of them, but nobody seemed at all bothered.
I scanned the sky with my eyes in the direction of travel, thinking I would spot the aircraft, but saw nothing.
