Caller and husband were driving from downtown Las Vegas on Route 95, heading toward Rancho Road. Suddenly, the wife, who was in the passenger's seat, observed a large, bright, white light in the left portion of the windshield. It was much brighter than a helicopter light, and had a steady glow to it.
At first, she said nothing to her husband, but when it disappeared from her sight behind some cypress trees, and then was visible again after their car had passed them, she realized the object was probably not an aircraft, and it was not a reflection off a side window.
Suddenly, the object developed a green or blue tail, and it accelerated very rapidly, disappearing from their sight.
The object was moving generally from the southwest to the northwest.
