Telephoned Report:
Husband and wife were awakened at 0500 hrs. by lights in their bedroom.
It was raining very hard, and there had been strong winds that night.
they reported seeing a very bright, colored light about 3/4 miles from their house. It lit up the entire area, and the light fluctuated. They also heard a loud humming sound, and their power went off for 1 second. Suddenly, the wind died down, and they experienced an "eerie calm."
The light came from behind the trees, and it was red, and it came through the trees.
NOTE: Michael Atkins, MUFON Field Investigator, investigated this report, and he discovered from the local fire department that an electrical transformer had exploded, or shorted out.
