Fireball due north of my position, straight into ground on top of hill above Orting WA. Helicopter no markings searched area for 15-20 minutes.
I was at my son's boy scout campout at the VFW park on South Prarie creek. I saw a green fireball It was straight to the north, seemingly between my position and the city of Bonny Lake WA. Three or four minutes after it went out of my sight, a helicopter with no markinbgs flew over and searched the area where I figured it impacted. It left after 15-20 minutes. There were other people at the campground and at our fire, but the initial fireball lasted such a short time that I did not even let the others know that I had seen it.
