Huge mothership

I was traveling up from central Florida to a job interview and to establish a new residence in Tallahassee. It was very sunny at the time with puffy cumulus clouds. I was in a rural area in the Big Bend or bending part of the west coast going up into the Panhandle area on US 19. I was excited, as I had intuition that I would land the job, and just slightly nervous. I looked to the left where there was a brightly lit field where the sun had just broken through a cloud. Very shortly thereafter, I looked to the left again and saw a very unusual sight. In the same cloud group where the sun had broken through, with rays gleaming down, was another large beam of the same white/gold light. I puzzled over this as there is only one sun. The beams were equally strong as the sun's. Although I was not concerned about what I was seeing-just very interested, I was worried about some government person or people seeing me notice this, as I was going into a government job. Not a job classified as important, but one where I would be working around important people. So, I casually pulled off the road, not braking hard, but as if I had to consult a map or something. There was very little traffic. Possibly no other cars for several minutes.

I peeked out of my window and looked towards the phenomena, but what I saw instead was a huge charcoal or steel colored craft overhead that looked like it was made of cast iron. It seemed to have a central area where the beam might have come from. The surface was rough but I didn't see too much detail. It was right overhead, and I may have stepped out of the car. The light changed very quickly as the sun set, and I could not see it any longer.
