Large Black Cylinder Flies Above Mountain Lakes Near Guntersville, Alabama
Observed large black cyllindrical craft moving between the mountain ridges above US Hwy 431 as I drove south over the old 2 lane mountain pass at Snug Harbor, just north of the Department of Transportation facility and the Tennessee River Bridge. This was in March 1994 before the highway was four-laned at the turn of the 21st Century. The object had no wings, tail or any identifying markings. It looked like a big black railroad gasoline tanker rolling through the sky at low altitude, moving west to east. It was visible only for a second or two before it disappeared behind the eastern ridge on the left side of the highway. The object made no noise at all.
((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. PD))
