Dad sees large lighted craft

I’m reporting a sighting from the early nineties that my dad experienced.  After hearing you on Coast to Coast radio, I decided to turn in this info for your database.   I do not remember the exact date, but I’m almost positive it was in 1992, during Spring or Summer  (It wasn’t winter) in a very rural area  near Delevan, IL.   My father (Roger)  was in his late 60s, and driving very early morning, between 4am-5am (still dark) when his car began acting up and his radio went staticy.  He pulled to a stop and then saw nothing but a huge light. He thought he was having a heart attack and “going into the light”.

Then, to his surprise, the lights left, he started his car up and drove onto work very shook up. His radio never did work again, and it took him a week or more to finally tell me about this sighting, and he was still visibly shaken.

My father never ever believed in anything paranormal or extraterrestrial.  It was a very big deal for him to admit such an occurrence.  He would never admit to any missing time, or seeing anything other than the blinding lights.  

The most interesting part for me is that several years later, he was told he had some kind of small mass in the very front of his brain, behind his forehead.  But, he was never treated for any brain tumor or similar.  As far as I know, he simply ignored that.   

He passed away 5 years ago at age 83 from unrelated cancer.  Right after his death, he visited me in plain sight and I don’t know if there’s anything related to those who’ve had UFO contacts and the afterlife, but in any case, I find both extraordinary.  

Thanks for taking this information, maybe it corresponds with another sighting, I know that general area has documented cases.
