Mystery light attracts Air Force attention in NC.
Object was orbiting Seymour Johnson AFB.Flight pattern very irregular.Lots of latteral movement.Light alternated between red,orange and white.No sound detectable.We witnessed from approximatley 12 mi.Altitude varied between 1200 and 15000 ft. estimated.Very captivating experience.10 minutes after event massive amount of F-4 interceptor activity.AF seemed to patrol for at least an hr. after event.Helicopters deployed searching the ground w/ lights.I should have wrote down event but this is pretty much all I remember.
