I saw this object at night about 300ft above the ground back in 1989 while I was in the Army bivouacking at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. I hopped up to go to the bathroom (treebark) outside.
It was very dark with no moonlight but a slight glimmer of light from the city was enough for me to walk around. As I was doing my business, a very low reciprocal hum was coming from just about everywhere around me. I looked up to notice a large dark trianglar shaped object with soft but bright lights on each corner.
This object was moving very slowly, yet it was the size of about 3 football fields. Behind this object were three orange-red lighted spheres about the size of a car. I watched this until I could no longer see it over the dense tree line. I felt a bit numb all over my body, like I was in a sealed box with no moving air. Kind of like feeling static electricity all around me with no movement.
Just a minute later, 2 low flying F16's flew in the object! s same path and direction at about 80-90 knots.
This was not my first sighting so I was not in shock, nor did I tell anyone because of the jokes that would sure follow.
The only reason I am talking about it now it because of the North Charleston sighting in broad daylight in 1989, I came across today, was the same object I saw about the same time of year in 1989.
