Saw 2 cigar shaped objects move between the moon and earth.
To the best of my knowledge it was late Aug or Sept. 1988 +/- 2 years. At the time I was president of a very high technology company producing precision frequency devices. Prior experience was work on the Apollo guidance systems where I was very familiar with celestial guidance systems and celestial navigation. Also developed frequency sources for GPS system satellites. Have had security clearances. Consider myself credible. I think it was not a shadow cast on the full moons surface because the definition was sharp. I rather think the two objects passed between the earth (me) and the moon, in the shadow of the earth, not illuminated by the sun. Hence black appearance. Knowing the size of the moon and earth, knowing the distance from the sun, knowing the distance to the moon, a best guess calculation yielded these objects to be 2500-3000 feet long and hundreds of feet thick. It is debatable if they were cylinders or if my perspective viewing them was such, that they looked cylindrical. What struck me as strange was that the orientation and movement relative to my perspective was perfectly horizontal.
The fellow I was playing tennis with at the time saw it too. He is now deceased.
