While driving south on 183, I looked out my drivers window and saw a chevron shaped craft with about 5-6 lights on the bottom of craft.
I stopped on the shoulder and got out of my car. The craft was about 100 feet off the ground, moving very slow. It was traveling about walking speed. It was moving north in the direction of the runway at Carswell. AFB. It was about 150 to 200 feet across. The only sound was a humming sound like one might hear in a bad amplifier/speaker.
I watched the craft as it crossed over me and Hwy 183 going in the direction of the base. The craft was very dark and the shape mostly was discerned by the fact it was blocking the stars as it passed. It was opaque as it completely blocked the light of the stars. I do not recall the color of the lights. They were solid and did not flash. Maybe about a foot or so in diameter. They were evenly spaced on the bottom side of the craft.
As the craft passed over going to the direction of the runway, it started to fade from my view.
On the west side of the AFB is a Lockheed Martin facility. My thinking was that this was some kind if prototype aircraft for the military because of the location.
I had forgotten about it over the years until I saw some shows about the chevron crafts over Scottsdale AZ and the ones over the Hudson valley. What I saw look almost just as these. The witnesses on the show said they did not hear any sound. As stated, I did hear a low frequency humming sound.
I call my sighting a craft because I could clearly see and hear it and because of its proximity to the Air force base and Lockheed. But since I have not seen any military plane like it since I will have to identify it as a U F O.
It does look some what like the chevron shaped stealth plane. But I am sure the stealth plane does not fly this slow or with only a humming sound.
At the time of the sighting I was an Air force reservist on my monthly training at Carswell. I do not recall if I was on my way to the hotel at the time, but I think so. I completed 7 years in the Army and then was in the Air force reserves. At the time I was in the reserve I was also working as an electrician. I currently am retired and worked as an Engineer for 26 years.
