Two Fireballs
This is an incident that happened in August 1978. I am reporting it for record only.
Approximately 1:00 AM my wife and I were driving home. At the intersection of Corbin Ave. and Osgood Ave., we were turning the corner, and to my left I saw two glowing orbs falling directly downward from the sky. One was red and the other green. We were about 100 yards from them. They were soon hidden behind some pine trees.
I drove quickly up Osgood which was a hill to see if I could see where they went. When we reached the top we saw the red orb fly at a fast rate of speed toward Hartford which is visible in the distance from that position. In approximately four seconds it was out of sight. We did not see the green one.
On the surface of the orbs I saw a lot of movement. It looked like the surface of the sun. This may possibly be ball lightening.
A few days later a relative said a friend of hers say the same things dropping from the sky the same time as I did but was not in a position to see either one fly off. I did not tell her I saw the same thing before that.
