A Fort Campbell sighting...
This happened in the middle 70's. The day that the Harrier was first flown at Fort Campbell, Kentucky I was riding down a county road in the backseat of my car. (Someone else was driving.) It was still a little light out and there was something following us close with one bright light. We thought it was a motorcycle. I was watching it out the back window. After a while it started flashing and rose into the air. When it got to our left and above us we could see that it was round and there were lights all the way around it.
We were on our way into the base and we watched it... Until all of a sudden there was a family hitchhiking. They said their car broke down but we didn't see it. They wanted to go onto the base, too. We took them, but while we were picking them up we lost sight of the spaceship. We decided that it was there looking at the Harrier and took a minute to contact us. Who knows, maybe that's where the plans for the Harrier came from.
