My mother and I saw this big bright orangish-yellow light in the woods near the trailer park where we lived back in the 1970's.

This sighting was a long time ago and it also involves a man still missing to this day, but it is something I need to get off my conscience because it has bothered me for many years. We lived in a place called Diamond Hill Trailer Park in Danielsville, Georgia during the mid 1970's. I was only about three years old at the time, but I will never forget it because it looked like the woods were on fire and it scared me to death. I saw this orangish-yellow light for a few days, but my mother said she saw it more than just a few days and its shape. The night she saw me looking at it, she made me go inside the house. There were no people camping in the area where we saw it. After the night I saw it, we went to a pasture next to the woods and there was a big burnt circle just across the fence. My mother, sister, and I all observed the circle. Shortly after this time, my mother and her boyfriend, his brother and his brother's date were riding in a car and this similar object we had seen for days started following them hovering directly over their car. My mother's boyfriend's brother was in the back seat with his head tilted up looking at the object that was following them. My mother said it was like he was in a trance looking at it and it and it took him awhile before he was acting normal again and shortly after this encounter. My mother's boyfriend at the time was Cary Lamar Thomas, but everybody called him Lamar. His brother's name was Ronnie Thomas, and he came up missing shortly after the encounter and has never been found to this day. Lamar passed away March 27, 2006, at the age of 49. I would like this case looked into for my own well-being, as well as, maybe helping their family with some closure. I served in the Marine Corps and Army for 10 years as a military policeman and I am a disabled OEF veteran. I also have a bachelor's degree in criminal justice with a minor in psychology, so I am experienced in writing details of incidents, as well as I can remember them from that age. I have experienced a few more UFO sightings over the years and the recent things I have seen around my house compelled me to write about this sighting because it was so profound to me at such an early age. Another reason I wrote this was because I was wondering if a UFO/UAP did land in the pasture close to where we lived, could there still be something that could be picked up on a Geiger Counter? I know what we saw, and I will never forget it.
