A friend and I stepped out onto my parents front porch. Our attention was immediately caught by a large, bright light in the North Eastern sky. The light was very bright and about the size of a basketball held at arm's length. At first, we thought it might be a helicopter search light. We noticed that there was no sound coming from the object. My friend and I dashed back into the house to get my Dad. When the three of us returned to the porch the light was gone. I might have dismissed this sighting, but the next day in the Albany Times Union there was a report of a UFO matching the description of what we had seen over Albany. The event had been viewed by dozens of witnesses.
