Orange light different from landing aircraft at O'Hare Airport shot up, then to the right and then out of site in about 5 seconds.
I was leaving my home about 5:45 p.m. to go to the grocery store to get more Halloween candy. As I looked to the east, I could see the lights of landing aircraft all in a row for O'Hare Airport in Chicago. Slightly to the right of the landing pattern was an orange colored light just hovering. I stopped to watch it because it was a different color from the landing planes. It seemed to be fixed in the air, no movement. As I watched for about a minute, the orange light shot up, stopped for about a half second and then shot to the right and out of sight in less than 2 seconds time.
