At about 21:00 the middle of Jun 1973 I was sitting outside in my backyard. I observed a yellowish star shape coming from out of the south. As the star shaped object approached a position almost overhead I began to hear the sound of a jet aircraft. I noticed that the jets sound was far behind the aircraft as would happen if the jet was traveling faster than sound for some time.
I saw a jet aircraft coming from out of the south, with all navigation marker lights on rapidly catch up to the object. The jet slowed down and began to travel, for a few seconds, a short distance behind the object.
The jet made a maneuver to bring it on a parallel course a short distance from the star shaped object. At this time the object sped away at an extreme velocity and was no longer visible in about 1 second.
