1972-09-02 - Encinitas, CA - Light

Intense bright light flashed into our tent.

After pitching the tent went down to the beach for a short walk. I remember looking up at the stars and noticed that this one star began to move. It would stop and then move again. Didn’t think much of it so we headed back up to camp. The four of us just talking, laughing when out of nowhere this flash of light comes in from the top of the tent. I jumped out the tent expecting to see some guys pranking us. I saw no one. Oh well, back into the tent. Just as I was about to sit down it hit again! I’m standing outside thinking these idiot’s are fast runners. So the next two time’s there was a break of maybe five minutes or more. Come the morning no one really took it any further, we just wanted to get home. And home was about a two hour drive. Well, the following week-end I invited my same friend’s over to my house. The four of us sat on this picnic bench and we are facing South. The weather was clear skies and it was just about sunset. There it was right behind us! Lit up the entire back yard and there it was! There was nothing there or anywhere. Now we were spooked. What in the world followed us or tracked us all the way home? So now we are telling family and other friends and they think the four of us have gone bananas. Ok now, that was not the end of it. Two of us are invited to a party the next town over, A couple of weeks had gone by since the last event so it was pushed to the back of my mind. The party was at an apartment. The living room opened up to the kitchen which had one small window and the back door opened out into the alley. There was a few people gathered in the kitchen. And then it happened. It came in from the kitchen window and lit up the entire apartment. One guy flew out the back door and came back in just dumbfounded. He’s telling everyone there is nothing outside. They didn’t think we were bananas after that. What was really weird was the sound it made. Sounded just like the shutter from a camera. Weird. Anyway, that all happened when I was in my early twenties. I’m seventy nowadays. I not looking for your team to investigate this. Just wondering if you have run across anything like this? I’m afraid I have to stop here gotta take my dog for a ride. I have more to tell. So if interested let me know.
